Last night saw a panel of thought leaders at the Net Change Week event The Edge of Academe. The event featured Mark Surman, Executive Director of Mozilla Foundation, Peppino Ortoleva, Prof. Storia dei mezzi di comunicazione at the Università di Torino, Brian Cantwell Smith, Prof. Information Studies at the University of Toronto, and Michael Eberle-Sinatra, Assoc. Prof. of English at the University of Montreal. The event, in light of Marshall Mcluhan, focused on the idea of where University institutions need to make changes and innovate to stay relevant with the times.
