Launch: Many Are One

Many Are One have a vision: A Canada where young Canadians participate equally within the democratic process.

Many Are One is a non-partisan, non-profit initiative focused on creating a conversation amongst Young Canadians, under 30 years of age, about the issues that matter to them. Utilizing Social Media Technology, the initiative is flipping the traditional paradigm of bringing youth to politics, by bringing political conversation and dialogue to youth. Seed content for the conversations will include videos of current and former politicians, political commentators, Canadian journalists, Canadian recording artists and media personalities, as well as blogs, articles and other media.

Run out of the Commerce Times, a youth-run non-profit, which has been incubated at Ryerson University’s Digital Media Zone, the initiative will partner with a leading research centre to analyze the conversations occurring and glean the real issues young Canadians care about.

Many Are One held their public launch during Net Change Week. Here’s a look at how they enjoyed their night.
